Dear Hobie sailors,
Welcome to the 48th Victorian Hobie Cat State Championships. This year our States are hosted by the Portarlington Sailing Club (PSC) which is located on the beautiful Bellarine peninsula. We are expecting big Hobie 14 & 16 fleets, made up of Victorians and interstate competitors from NSW and maybe even WA and QLD. Rowdy is going to be running a Hobie 16 up the beach competition and Maddog has some interesting entertainment for us on the Sunday night.
Portarlington has plenty of accommodation in terms of camping grounds and B&Bs in the area (just google it). Please note the sailing club is licensed BYO, so please feel free to bring your favourite hometown drop to the club if you wish to drink. For those not sailing, the Portarlington area is famous for its local wines and fresh mussels, so beach crews make sure you keep an afternoon free to enjoy the local delicacies.
