Dear Hobie Sailors,
This letter is coming to you from the ANHCA on behalf of your state Hobie class association. Please note all correspondence regarding meeting minutes, proxy forms and items of general business need to go back to your state association/delegate to be presented at the AGM.
Please be advised that the 2024/25 ANHCA AGM will be held on 1st January 2024 at McCrae Yacht Club. The meeting will be held at 3pm.
The business of the AGM (as defined in the constitution) is as follows:
- (i) To confirm the Minutes of the preceding Annual General Meeting and of any meeting held since that Annual General Meeting (see attachment);
- (ii) To receive from the Committee reports upon the transactions of the ANHCA during the preceding year;
- (iii) To elect the Executive Committee of the State Delegates;
- (iv) To receive and consider any general business as may be considered appropriate by the committee.
Attendance at the AGM:
Please note that attendance at the AGM shall be limited to the outgoing and incoming Executive Committee Officers, the incoming State Delegates and one observer nominated by and from each state. The observer may have the right to speak with no voting rights.
Each member of the Committee shall be entitled to appoint another member of the State Association as his proxy by notice given to the secretary no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the time of the meeting in respect of which the proxy is appointed.
Election of Office Bearers
Following this letter are the forms for nominations for the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. Nominations must be handled through each affiliated State Association and received by the ANHCA secretary ( anhcasecretary@gmail.com ) by 27 December 2024.
